“From Brown Bag to Picture Book”
Thank you for your interest in an author appearance! I am available for presentations at schools, libraries, bookstores, and conferences.
One of my favorite aspects of being a children’s book writer/illustrator is getting the chance to share my work and my love of books with children of all ages.
Using storyboards, collage materials, and a PowerPoint display, I demonstrate how I create my books – starting with simple brown paper bags! In an inspiring, interactive, visual presentation, I talk about my writing process from initial idea through story and picture development, to published book. Q & A is always included to round out the educational experience.
Enjoy the story time readings and find out how picture books are created. Each child receives a picture to take home and color, and I am available to sign my books before or after the presentation.
My fees are flexible. I am happy to work with teachers and administrators to design the program best suited to your current needs and your curriculum. Please contact me through my website or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
